May I say that this was slightly overdue, as the Mk. IV was around since, umm, I think the Roman Empire still existed when they launched it.
Anyway Oppopinions:
Also seems that there will only be diesel engines between 130 and 175hp at launch. No words on AWD, but there is a DCT because race people carrier.

That's just one of the dumbest things I've ever read. DCTs are some of the heaviest transmissions out there (if not the heaviest) that you can put into a vehicle because of well..duh, multiple clutches.
I wonder how much they could have saved if they used a torque converter or a single clutch automated manual.

I'm not sure such a low greenhouse is necessary on a family van. I'd rather have the visibility.
That said it is pretty snazzy.

Makes sense, thats why supercars and shit use these, they need that extra weight for added grip.

Are you quite sure a DCT transmission is heavier than a conventional automatic? If that was the case nobody would be using them.

Has that sort of awkward look, like an Evoque - my wheels are too big! Wonder if they'll sell it here? (US)

it looks just like the concept, except...less purple.
But it has a lot of glass on top, so the usuall argument for buying an espace is there.
